{Take the 100 Things challenge!}
I'm thinking of joining, but am not sure if I'll just be boring the hell out of my flist, so I'll just put stuff behind a cut. I'm sure you guys won't mind if it's behind the scissors or adorableness.
My 100 things will be "100 Things That Made My Heart Super Happy" and I'll try not to make everything about my kids. Fannish things also give me ALL THE FEELS. I'll just post what made me warm in the heart place that day.
This list will be important to me because it's mostly the little things that I'm quickest to forget, but the little things are the things that are often the most important.

Today we went to our neighbor's 7th bday party and it was really loud. The girls were all shrieking, and the strobe light was going, music full blast and everyone dancing all over the place. Kira was not a fan. But after we went out for a few minutes and back in, her big sister was there for her. She left the circle of her classmates to dance with her baby, holding her hands and making her smile. After pizza, they pulled out the parachute and had all the kids sit on the floor while the swooped it over on top of them. My girls sat with their arms around each other, the older cradling the younger practically in her lap, and they looked so happy, comfortable and serene as the other kids flinched and shrieked. I'm so grateful that they have each other. ♥

Date: 2012-04-15 11:27 pm (UTC)On a related note, tonight at dinner we were talking about the local pastor and his wife of nine years, and how they still don't have a baby. Well, Mom was saying they should get on that, and the rest of us were all, "No, Mom, you don't get to dictate when the clergy make babies." That conversation bore the following exchange:
Mom - The best gift you could ever get a child is another sibling.
Middlest Sis - No, I would have said a trust fund.
