So I am finally responding... to say:

OMG JENNNNNNN. My like, initial excitement for this?! HAS NOTHING ON MY EXCITMENT OF ACTUALLY LISTENING TO IT.

just. fuck. I've listened now, like, three (AT LEAST) times. AND IT IS PERFECT. it is perfect in all of the ways (and yes, the fic itself is beyone perfection, and just, I wasn't going to reread it, what w, knowing this was coming, but I may have read ahead a little after listening, because, just, PERFECTIONNNNNN). But then, it's not just the written words. It's what you bring to it! (reading that you doubted starting podficcing over on that amplifiwhatever poll? just, NO. NOOOO. because? You, YOUUU. are my favorite. MY FAVORITE READER EVER. I don't even know, just, you are perfect, your pacing, your amazing little Long Island accent (that I'm tentavively in my head planning to come see sometime in November?), that is just, beautiful, I AM IN LOVE) IT MAKES IT ALL THE MOST AMAZING THING. And so yes.

Also amazing? I got a new stereo put in the weekend you posted this! (oh yes, it was a bday present as well, lol), and so I can finally listen to podfic in my car! AND JUST, YESSSSS. You reading this to me while I commute?! PERFECTION.

Hey! I just listened to this yesterday (w/headphones, at work, like ya do). Superawesome reading - I love this fic, and you totally nailed the desperate feeling of the whole thing. :D

Tiny beta though, if no one else has mentioned it: there are two places I noticed where a line gets repeated twice, that I don't think were intentional. I think you may have just missed the repeats when you were editing. There's a spot where you kept a typo from the original text, where Dru put "He'd trembled and felt wild over, overtaken with need" - which is probably what I would have done, too! - but I'm talking about longer bits. They're both relatively early on, between the beginning and the above quote.

LOL I am actually trying to edit something right now w/headphones, but I have to stop because my partner is asleep right next to me and HE SNORES SO LOUD THAT I CANNOT HEAR PROPERLY.

I did just manage to change "mishes" to "misses" by copy/pasting an "Ssss" sound in from another word. My job for the night is done. ;)

Oh! I wandered over here courtesy of rocksalt recs, and wow, I'm so glad I did! This series occupies a huge space in my heart (all of drvsilla's writing does, truthfully) and now listening to you read it made that space triple in side. I don't have the proper vocabulary to leave feedback on podfic--I don't know the in's and out's of it, but this is fantastic. All the desperation and compulsion and absolute drive these boys have for one another comes through crystal clear in your reading. So yes. Lovely! Thank you!
